2018 NYC Marathon - Paul Robaszewski

Name: Paul Robaszewski

Location: New York City

Race History: Second Marathon

Story: When I moved here in November 2016, I quickly discovered how dynamic a city New York really is. By February, I realized while the city was active, I was not. After a quick google search, I decided I was going to go to a TMIRCE Saturday run. TMIRCE welcomed me with open arms and I have been attending workouts ever since.

I ran cross-country in high school and started a running club in college, so I was looking for something that would give me that same sense of camaraderie. TMIRCE was exactly what I was looking for. I know TMIRCE will always be there rain, shine, snow or otherwise. No matter what else is going on in my life all the informal runners are there for fun times, high fives, and good vibes.

Being a part of this running group has pushed me to test my limits. Last year I ran the Philadelphia Marathon and I could not have done that without the support of my running friends. And although wholly unexpected, being a part of TMIRCE has given me the opportunity to run in the upcoming 2018 New York City Marathon. I’m happy I never looked back after my first TMIRCE event and that I’ll have so many friends here cheering me on for my second 26.2.

PS We might be the Most Informal Running Club Ever, but there's no rule against khakis
